Fundamentalist religion is so often used to cloak prejudice and ignorance that it’s become an indicator of prejudice and ignorance to almost anyone more moderate than Tracy Kerlee. I don’t mean to single her out, because she’s correct in saying that she isn’t the only person who holds those views.

But why do I get the feeling that, if Jesus himself appeared to her while wearing an Obama T-Shirt, she still wouldn’t vote for him?
